At Gastro Catering, our mission is to create truly innovative events and make those special occasions unforgettable. Since 2008, we have been the caterer of choice for venues, events managers, wedding co-ordinators who come back time and again for us to organise the best food and drink for their events. We specialise in the bespoke – starting with fresh ideas, developing and refining until your fully satisfied with our offer. We cater for parties, weddings and corporate events – all treated with the same meticulous care and attention. Gastro Catering holds no limitations, we cater events for 5 to 1000 guests and our expertise is onsite catering. Whether its in an exclusive venue, or the great outdoors, we deliver flawless presentation with style, paying attention to every detail. Our events and catering team have the experience and talent to produce incredible events from the intimate to the flamboyant. Great Caterers : Great Ingredients
At Gastro Catering we source all our produce based on it’s locality and quality. We’re fortunate as a caterer to be based in Sussex where great suppliers are in abundance. Our local greengrocer Jeremy’s is less than two miles from our kitchens. We source our fish daily from Brighton in East Sussex, we’re less three miles from the amazing Springs Smokery and our meats are sourced from Sussex and Surrey. Also, we smoke our own fish and meat on site, dry cure our own charcuterie in a specially made curing chamber and grow our own herbs and edible flowers.

Complimentary Tasting
We strongly believe that you should taste the food for your event or wedding for free before choosing a catering company. So, for all 'full service' event catering with over 40 guests, we offer a complimentary tasting at Gastro HQ before you book. You’ll have the exclusive attention of a catering manager and our head chef to give you a luxurious ‘chef's table’ experience. So you can watch our chef as he plates your menu choices. Also sample our canapes, taste wine, and talk in detail about your event catering in the comfort of our purpose built tasting room.

Transforming a vintage horse trailer
Our vintage horse trailer has hit the road! Over the previous weeks our wood-fired pizza ovens have been stoked and smoking away. Our handmade pizzas have been a real hit with evening wedding guests and party goers. Fully equipped for fresh and handmade to order pizzas and adaptable into gin or cocktail bar, our trailer already proving to be a very popular request for our future bookings. Fine Dining Catering
Our Sussex based development kitchen has been buzzing during the process of creating our new menus for 2018. The focus has been on innovation, originality and current trends.
Our ingredients are sourced from award winning local suppliers accross Sussex and Surrey, meats are aged correctly and fruit and vegetables are chosen with the seasons in mind. We smoke and cure our own range of poultry, meat and fish in house to ensure the very best flavours.
We have always made a point of saying: the dishes on our menus are just suggestions! We love getting to work with our clients on new ideas which better reflect the tastes and preferences of hosts and guests alike.
Family Style Caterers
This is where almost any of our catering menus can be served in a format where guests share food around the table, This is a growing trend for 2017 and we like it! Guests feel involved, interact and break down barriers whilst realxing and enjoying great food and wine.
Barbecue Catering
Our barbecue menu comprises of a selection of the finest quality meats and fresh sea foods, marinated to produce unrivalled flavour. Our custom-built charcoal barbecues can cater for over 100 people each and gives our food a rustic smoky barbecue taste, unmatched by modern gas-fired equivalents. These flavours are complimented perfectly by a wide selection of cold salads and home-made condiments.
Bespoke Menus
We are proud to say that, because our food is cooked entirely from scratch exclusively for your event, it makes no odds for us to completely bespoke your menu. We offer this service at no additional cost.
Canapes
We’ve had many hours of fun in our development kitchen working on the presentation of these canapes so that they look (and taste) completely unique, delicious and exciting.
We use a variety of different canape trays with floral decorations tailored to suit your event such as slices of oak, slates, antique mirrors and many more. Ask as about bespoke canape trays - custom designed to compliment your specific theme.
Food Stations
Our collection of classic and more contemporary food, creatively displayed to enhance the experience. We’ve been gathering interesting platters, bowls, trays, boards and plates for a while now… and we’ve got quite a collection. The salads are colourful and interesting and are garnished to look beautiful on the multi-tiered display.
Paella Party Caterers
Our authentic Mediterranean paella recipes are cooked in pans up to 1.2m in diameter, providing not only incredible flavour but unrivalled visual appeal, adding colourful, aromatic and informal factors to any event.
Hog Roast Caterer
We use Sussex raised, free range pork so that we know we're roasting only the highest quality meat at your event. Our pigs are slow cooked over charcoal for 8 hours to give a succulent depth of flavour and perfect crackling.
Bowl Food Catering
Bowl food is the perfect option for formal and informal standing receptions.
Our staff will circulate guests with decorative trays of carefully portioned mini dishes, garnished to look fabulous and flavours which explore the cuisines of the world.
Cold Buffets
Our extensive cold buffet comprises of a wide variety of home-made dishes to suit all tastes. There’s everything from continental inspired mezze style platters and charcuterie boards, to British classics like game pies, cheeseboards and quiches.
Hot Buffets
A wide variety of contemporary twists on our favourite classics, served piping hot straight to your plate by our polite, friendly serving staff.
